چکیده
Fuel cells are one of the most efficient and effective solutions to environmental problems high energy demand. They devices which change chemical into electrochemical energy, allowing much higher efficiency than conventional thermomechanical conversion methods. Lanthanum Strontium Cobalt Ferrite (LSCF) perovskites have been widely studied for application as cathodes in solid oxide fuel (SOFC) due their electrical conductivity, thermal stability, low difference expansion coefficient, physico-chemical compatibility with other components. The aim this work was synthesize perovskitas type La0.7Sr0.3Co0.5Fe0.5O3 by sol-gel method evaluate potential a cathode cell. results obtained X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) indicate that calcined at 900ºC an amount perovskite phase above 95%. Field Emission Gun-Scanning Electron Microscope (FEG-SEM) images LSCF film produced 4 layers showed better quality. Thus, XRD FEG-SEM, has cells.

Oxyanions in perovskites: from superconductors to solid oxide fuel cells.
In this article we review work on oxyanion (carbonate, borate, nitrate, phosphate, sulphate, silicate) doping in perovskite materials beginning with early work on doping studies in superconducting cuprates, and extending to more recent work on doping into perovskite-type solid oxide fuel cell materials. In this doping strategy, the central atom of the oxyanion group occupies the perovskite B ca...
متن کاملNb5+-Doped SrCoO3−δ Perovskites as Potential Cathodes for Solid-Oxide Fuel Cells
SrCoO3-δ outperforms as cathode material in solid-oxide fuel cells (SOFC) when the three-dimensional (3C-type) perovskite structure is stabilized by the inclusion of highly-charged transition-metal ions at the octahedral positions. In a previous work we studied the Nb incorporation at the Co positions in the SrCo1-xNbxO3-δ system, in which the stabilization of a tetragonal P4/mmm perovskite sup...
متن کاملPolysulfone-based Anion Exchange Membranes for Potential Application in Solid Alkaline Fuel Cells
In present research work, anion exchange membranes based on quaternized polysulfone with ammonium cation moieties (QAPSF) were prepared by chloromethylation, amination and alkalization. The chloromethylated polysulfone were characterized by 1HNMR spectroscopy and functionalization degree was determined according to peak area integration. Ion transport properties (ionic conductivity, ion exchang...
متن کاملPreparation of gas-tight strontium-doped lanthanum cobaltate by an aqueous sol-gel process
Gas-tight dense membranes of highly Sr-doped LaCoO, (such as the composition La,,, Sr 0,7 COO, chosen in this study) are difficult to prepare using usual synthesis processes. This report presents an aqueous sol-gel route using metal acetates as precursors to achieve this goal. Hydrogen peroxide and ammonia are added to the acetates precursor solution to obtain stable sol and xerogel, as well as...
متن کاملSpatiotemporal simulation of nickel oxide and carbon phases formation in solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC)
The formation of secondary phases in the porous electrodes is a severe mechanism affecting the lifetime of solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC). It can occur via various chemical mechanisms and it has a significant influence on cell performance due to pore clogging and deactivation of active surfaces and triple-phase boundary (TPB). We present a modeling and simulation study of nickel oxide formation ...
